In the Jayil district of the Chui region, on the Boroonduu pasture, a snow avalanche covered a 56-year-old shepherd named D.A., who was with 50 sheep and a horse.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident was reported by the village elder of Kyzyl-Oy, who contacted the head of the local emergency department.
In response to the incident, Minister Boobek Ajikeev ordered the commencement of search operations, and since 03:00 on February 13, 24 rescuers from various territorial units and departments of the ministry have been involved in the efforts.
