A suspect in the car theft has been detained in Bishkek, resulting in the vehicle being returned to its owner. This was reported by the press service of the First May District Police Department.
According to available information, on October 9, 2025, a citizen named D.B. contacted law enforcement.
He reported that on October 5, 2025, around 6:00 PM, he left his car, a "KIA PIKANTO," in the yard of his house on Togolok-Moldo Street and went to the city of Karakol. Upon returning home on October 9, he discovered that his car was missing.
Based on this statement, a criminal case was initiated under Article 211 (theft) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the operational search activities, a suspect named J.B., born in 1984, was detained. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the thief illegally took possession of the car, sold it for 80,000 soms, and spent the money on his needs.
The car was found and added to the case as physical evidence. Currently, efforts are ongoing to determine the involvement of other individuals in this crime, as well as to check whether the detained person has committed similar crimes in the past.
