Stun guns and isolation rooms: three rehabilitation centers closed in Bishkek
Three rehabilitation centers operating illegally in Bishkek have been closed: "Idalgo," "Reshenie," and "Bishkek-Mayak." This information was announced by representatives of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

Committee specialists conducted an inspection, during which it was revealed that unacceptable treatment methods were used in these institutions.

According to the SCNS, some employees and leaders of the institutions used violence against patients. This included the use of physical force, stun guns, tying people to chairs and beds, as well as placing them in isolation rooms. As a result of such actions, the victims suffered both physical and serious psychological injuries.

Additionally, banned potent psychotropic substances were found and seized in the centers, which were used for treating patients.

During the operational activities, seven people were detained, including the leaders and staff of these centers: E. u. Ch., K.K.B., R.F.S., Zh.A.Z., K.E., R.V.G., and M.A.A. All of them were placed in custody by court decision.

During the further investigation, two cases of patient deaths were established, which occurred while undergoing treatment at the "Bishkek-Mayak" rehabilitation center.

Currently, the SCNS is conducting necessary operational-search activities to clarify all the circumstances of the case. Upon completion of the investigation, a corresponding legal assessment will be provided.
