On February 14, an attempt to illegally move livestock across the Kyrgyz-Tajik border without using official checkpoints was thwarted. This was reported by the State Border Service.

In the Leylek area, in the locality of "Tajik Nasos" near the state border, a border patrol detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, N.E.M., born in 1988.

It was established that this citizen was attempting to transport livestock from Kyrgyz territory to Tajik territory, bypassing established control points.

During the detention, 10 heads of cattle were found, which, according to preliminary data, were intended for illegal cross-border movement.

The detainee, along with the animals, was sent to the Border Service unit for further investigation and the preparation of necessary documents in accordance with current legislation.
