The State Border Service reports that on February 14, an attempt to illegally drive livestock across the Kyrgyz-Tajik border outside of established checkpoints was stopped.

The situation occurred in the Leilek district, near the settlement of Tajik Nasos, where border guards detained a citizen identified as N.E.M., born in 1988.

It was revealed that he was attempting to transport livestock from the territory of Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan, bypassing official checkpoints.

As part of operational measures, 10 heads of cattle were seized, which are believed to have been intended for illegal transportation across the border.

The detainee was taken to the border service unit for further investigation and the preparation of the necessary documents in accordance with current legislation.

The agency emphasizes that violations of border regulations and attempts to illegally transport goods and animals across the state border may result in legal liability.
