The event took place on October 29, 2025, when officers from the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil District, together with representatives of the public organization "Kalinin Interdistrict Society of Hunters and Fishermen," conducted a raid during which poachers possessing weapons without the necessary permits were detained.
An investigative check is currently underway, and relevant expert examinations have been appointed. According to preliminary data, the seized rifles are classified as rifled firearms — these are single-shot hunting models "TOZ-16" and "TOZ-8".
In this regard, on February 2, a criminal case was initiated under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition. On February 16, during investigative actions, M.M. and K.R., both born in 1988, were detained and are currently in a temporary detention facility.
