According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, law enforcement officials received information that in the territory of the city of Manas, a local resident known by the name "Almaz" was illegally storing firearms without the necessary permits.
This information served as the basis for initiating a criminal case under Article 267 of the Criminal Code, concerning the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition.
During the investigation, the suspect was identified as a 49-year-old resident of the city of Manas named A.Zh. Investigative officers conducted a search of his home, during which the following items were found:
- one firearm;
- 72 rounds of 12 caliber ammunition;
- 41 rounds for the TOZ-8 model;
- one pistol resembling a gas-traumatic weapon.
Ballistic examinations have been appointed for the seized items. The suspect was detained and placed in custody for a period of 48 hours, and investigative actions are ongoing.
