An employee of a medical institution is suspected of negligence
In Bishkek, police officers detained a doctor from the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) on suspicion of negligence that led to serious consequences. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs.
It became known that on August 28, 2025, Z.S. filed a complaint with law enforcement regarding a possible medical error that occurred in this medical institution.
According to the information, in October 2024, nephrologist N.B. committed serious violations while treating a minor, K.A., born in 2011, which ultimately led to the amputation of the patient's right leg.
In connection with these circumstances, a criminal case was initiated under part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the improper performance of professional duties by a medical worker, resulting in serious harm through negligence.
Based on the conclusions of forensic medical examinations, charges were brought against the suspect. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, she was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek.
The investigation is ongoing.
