Detention of a Nephrologist. The Case of the Patient Was Initially Complicated - Baryktabasova
According to her, the situation with the patient was quite complicated. The girl had a genetic predisposition to thrombophilia and had contracted COVID-19. In the fall of 2024, she was admitted to a medical facility with symptoms of anasarca and nephrotic syndrome. This condition is considered serious, and its manifestations were vague, complicating the diagnosis. As a result, multiple consultations were held involving leading specialists from the National Center for Maternal and Child Health and the National Hospital. The doctors prescribed comprehensive treatment; however, when the girl's condition worsened, the need for amputation arose. The mother categorically refused this procedure, and they went to Turkey, where the amputation was eventually performed. After that, the woman appealed to various authorities with complaints about the high expenses incurred due to the treatment, but this does not mean that the doctors are responsible for what happened,” Baryktabasova noted.
Topics for discussion In Bishkek, renowned nephrologist and transplant surgeon Nasira Beishebaeva was detained
In September 2025, the press service of the Ombudsman’s Institute reported that one of the residents of Bishkek, S.Z., had approached Jamila Jamambaeva requesting protection of her minor daughter’s rights and holding the doctors accountable.
The woman claimed that it was due to the negligence of the medical staff that her 14-year-old daughter became disabled.
Today, it became known about the detention of nephrologist Nasira Beishebaeva. The staff of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health sent an appeal to President Sadyr Japarov requesting an objective and comprehensive investigation of this situation in accordance with all legal norms.
