In Bishkek, a nephrologist from the NCODM was detained. The staff issued a statement.
According to preliminary data, the case concerns the amputation of a patient's leg following thrombosis. The girl was admitted to the nephrology department of the center with a diagnosis of glomerulonephritis at the end of the year before last and had previously contracted COVID-19. She had thrombocytopenia, which then developed into arterial thrombosis. Despite the prescribed therapy and conducted consultations, no improvements were observed. Ultimately, the surgeon decided to amputate the right leg up to the thigh. However, the parents took the girl to Turkey, where she also underwent surgery to remove the limb.
“The detention of a well-known doctor, PhD candidate, Associate Professor Nasira Beishebaeva raises serious concern among the medical community and has generated a wide public resonance. This event has negatively affected the moral and psychological climate within the team and causes anxiety among both specialists and patients, considering the significant contribution of the doctor to the healthcare system and specialized care,” the appeal states.
“We, the employees of the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, urgently request support for an objective review of the case concerning our esteemed doctor, transplantologist, and chief freelance pediatric nephrologist Nasira Adylbekovna Beishebaeva, who has made a significant contribution to the development of pediatric nephrology in the country. She is a highly qualified specialist and actively participates in the development of strategic documents of the Ministry of Health on pediatric nephrology and transplantology,” the appeal continues.
Medical workers are calling for the preventive measure for Beishebaeva to be considered without detention, emphasizing that she is a mother of two small girls and cares for her elderly mother, posing no threat to society.Appeal from the employees of the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood. “We hope for a fair, comprehensive, and objective consideration of the situation in accordance with all norms of the republic's legislation.
