The amount of donated medications, totaling over 1.6 million soms, includes funds directed, in particular, to the children's oncology department of the Mother and Child Health Institute in Bishkek.

This event was the result of a charitable project initiated by Patrick Meyerle from Ravensburg (Germany) and Peter Bree from West Chester (USA), who participated in the Silk Road Mountain Race from August 15 to 30, 2025, known for its difficulty.

Athletes dedicated their participation in the race to helping children suffering from cancer in Kyrgyzstan. As a result, they raised 15,809 euros. The project was implemented with the support of the charitable organization Umai - Hilfe für Kirgistan e.V. from Stuttgart and the public fund "Helping is Easy".

This is not Patrick Meyerle's first charitable initiative: in 2025, he also participated in a similar campaign during the Silk Road race, when about 1 million soms were raised for the purchase of medications for children in Kyrgyzstan.

Before the race began, Patrick and Peter visited the children's oncological hematology department in Osh, where they met with children and their parents.
