The situation began to unfold when the border guards spotted a Volkswagen Crafter moving along the state border. The driver ignored the demands to stop and tried to flee. Meanwhile, a second vehicle, a SsangYong Rexton Sports, deliberately created obstacles to help the truck evade capture.
As a result of the operational actions of the military personnel, both vehicles were stopped and detained in the village of Dostuk.

As a result of the inspection, 36 sheep were found in the Volkswagen Crafter, being transported without the necessary veterinary and accompanying documents. The preliminary estimated value of the sheep is about one million soms.

In connection with the suspicion of organizing and facilitating illegal movement, the border guards detained three residents of the Batken region: G. S. K. (born in 1984), T. R. U. (born in 1983), and N. K. K. (born in 1984).
