
In the capital, 7 residential and 5 multi-apartment buildings were affected
As a result of the powerful winds that swept through Bishkek yesterday, as well as in the Chuy and Talas regions, a number of objects were damaged: 16 residential houses, 5 multi-storey buildings, and 5 schools. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Also affected by the elements were 2 enterprises, 2 kindergartens, 1 village administration building, 1 guard's house, 6 sheds, 1 awning, the wall of one residential house, 2 cars, 1 electric pole, and 4 fallen trees.
In Bishkek, damage was registered to 7 residential houses, 5 multi-storey buildings, 2 schools, 1 kindergarten, 2 enterprises, and 2 cars. Additionally, 2 trees fell, leading to the breakage of electric wires.
In the Chuy region, 2 residential houses, 3 schools, 1 village administration building, 1 kindergarten, 5 sheds, and 1 wall were damaged, and 2 trees were also knocked down.
In the Aitmatov district of the Talas region, strong winds damaged 7 residential houses, 1 guard's house, 1 shed, 1 awning, and 1 electric pole.
It is worth noting that yesterday in Bishkek and the Chuy region, storm winds were observed with speeds of 15–20 meters per second, leading to fallen trees, roof damage, and power outages.
