The detention took place on February 2, after residents of one of the new buildings reported to service 102 about finding a suspicious object near the fence. Officers from the investigative-operational group of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene and, during the examination of the area, discovered a package wrapped in duct tape. According to the informant, he recorded the moment the object was left on video.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production and sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
As a result of operational-search activities, law enforcement agencies identified and detained a 22-year-old citizen named A.B. Upon checking his mobile device, correspondence was found in Telegram with a user named Azamat, where locations for "placers" and the quantity of packaged substances were discussed. The suspect admitted that he had been distributing psychotropic substances for the past month.
Based on his testimony, the police conducted searches and seized more than 40 packets from various hiding places. An examination conducted by the Main Internal Affairs Department confirmed that the seized items are a psychotropic compound weighing about 120 grams.
The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
