“He reported that on November 1, 2025, at one of the major markets in the capital, he was approached by a woman he barely knew named ‘Zh.’, who, having gained his trust, received women’s clothing worth 564,000 soms under the pretext of selling goods. However, he did not receive the promised money on time, and after that, the woman disappeared,” the statement noted.
The investigative service of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with the incident.
During operational-search activities, a citizen named Y.Z., born in 1996, was identified and detained. She was taken to the Investigative Service and, as clarified by the Department of Internal Affairs, placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
