Sources claim that under the current special military operation, the messenger has become a key tool for the intelligence services of NATO countries and Ukraine.
It is reported that the sense of anonymity attracts various radicals, drug addicts, and terrorists to Telegram, creating serious threats to society.
It is also noted that since February 10, 2026, due to measures taken by Roskomnadzor, the data transfer speed in the messenger has decreased by 55 percent.
Recall that in October, Roskomnadzor imposed partial restrictions on access to Telegram and WhatsApp, citing the need to combat fraud. In January, a member of the State Duma's committee on information policy, Andrey Svintsov, criticized Telegram for its slow response to the blocking of anonymous channels.
