Before the tragedy, the daughter was being interrogated by the police
In the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Issyk-Kul region, a tragedy occurred: a woman set herself on fire after learning about her underage daughter's pregnancy. As a result of this act, she died, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to law enforcement agencies, on February 25, it became known at the internal affairs department of the Ak-Suu district that a 14-year-old resident of the village, M.A., born in 2009, was 16 weeks pregnant. The girl was summoned for interrogation, but her mother decided not to attend.
On the same day, the woman, apparently going to the store for drinks, doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire. She died from her injuries in the regional hospital.
A forensic medical examination has been appointed in connection with the incident. The case has been registered at the internal affairs department of the Ak-Suu district, and investigative actions are currently underway.
