In her speech, she addressed the First Deputy Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service (GSIN) Nurlan Sarchayev with a question about allocating funds to ensure food for prisoners.
In response, Sarchayev stated that an amount ranging from 120 to 160 soms is allocated for these purposes.
Mavlyanova emphasized that the detainees have not yet been found guilty; however, there are instances where they remain without food and do not even receive the meals brought to them by their relatives.
In response, Sarchayev noted that food for prisoners is always provided and is under control. The deputy called for an investigation into the complaints received and for this issue to be resolved.
