According to the press service of the Department of Road Safety under the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, the accident happened on March 2 at 19:10 at the 58th kilometer of the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart road, near the recreation area "Hawaii." As a result of the collision, the pedestrian died.
“An investigative operational group from the Chui district internal affairs department was dispatched to the scene,” the official statement said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that 34-year-old driver I. A. R., driving a Toyota Windom, was traveling eastward and hit 59-year-old pedestrian K. S. M., who was crossing the road from north to south. As a result of this incident, the pedestrian died at the scene,” the press service clarified.
