The incident occurred on January 13, when one of the local residents approached the law enforcement agencies of the Alamudun district. He reported that a citizen, S.K., had ingratiated himself with him, taking $27,000 with the promise of providing legal assistance regarding the acquisition of an 82-hectare land plot in the Uzun-Kyr rural council of the Issyk-Ata district, as well as in processing documents for 200 hectares of underutilized land in the Leskhoz. After receiving the money, the suspect stopped communicating.
Based on this report, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Issyk-Ata district initiated a criminal case under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On March 18, law enforcement agencies were able to identify the suspect — he turned out to be a citizen, S.K., born in 1983. He was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
