In the courtroom, the lawyers presented their arguments, and the defendants delivered their final statements. The judicial panel has retired to the deliberation room to make a decision.

It should be noted that the agreement with Uzbekistan regarding the border, signed in the fall of 2022, sparked a political scandal. Activists protesting against this agreement concerning the Kempiir-Abad reservoir were detained in October 2022 and charged under Article 278 "Organization of Mass Riots." Some materials of the criminal case were classified, preventing the lawyers from reviewing them. Later, according to the defendants, an additional charge was added under Article 326 "Violent Seizure of Power."

On June 14, the court issued an acquittal, but the prosecution requested to overturn this verdict.

The case is currently being reviewed in the court of appeals.
