According to the president's press service, Aibek Shamenov is no longer the authorized representative of the head of state in the Batken region.
He has been replaced by Mamyrzhan Rakhimov.
It should be noted that Shamenov was appointed to this position in December 2024.
In the spring of 2025, Sadyr Japarov publicly reprimanded Shamenov for his inappropriate communication style with the residents of the village of Dostuk. A video surfaced on social media showing the envoy meeting with residents discussing the issue of resettlement. In this video, the official was seen reacting sharply to the appeals and questions of local residents, which sparked a wave of discontent on social media and calls for his resignation.
Later, Aibek Shamenov apologized to the residents of Dostuk for his behavior.
