In the response, the GPS emphasizes that the information provided by Karasartova is not true.
“When defendants arrive at detention facilities, they are informed of their rights and obligations, as well as the daily routine and regime requirements of the institution, against their signature. The GPS conducts its activities in strict compliance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan and guarantees the protection of the rights of defendants and convicts. In this regard, the agency is ready to defend its position,” the official statement says.
The GPS urged the media, citizens, as well as the relatives of defendants and convicts, to rely only on official sources of information, avoiding the spread of inaccurate data.
It should be reminded that in September 2025, the Sverdlovsk District Court found Rita Karasartova guilty under Articles 278 "Mass Riots" and 327 "Public Calls for Violent Seizure of Power" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. The court imposed a fine of 50,000 soms and five years of probation supervision.
The defense appealed this decision in the city instance, but the appellate panel upheld the verdict, which means that the penalty and the conditions of probation supervision remain in effect.
