Almaz Batyrbaev noted that situational centers operate in every region, monitoring through cameras around the clock to ensure the protection of citizens.
“More than 3,000 video cameras have been installed in public places across the country. Each case of violation is recorded and sent to the district internal affairs authorities for further action in accordance with the law,” he explained.
As part of the second phase of the "Safe Country" project, the installation of 20,000 new video cameras is planned for 2026.
“This work will be carried out in stages. First, specialists will analyze the locations where crimes occur most frequently. Additionally, infrastructure is necessary for the installation of surveillance — round-the-clock power supply, internet connection, and so on. The cameras are divided into several types: some can rotate 360 degrees, while others are fixed and directed in one direction,” Batyrbaev added.
