The General Director of the National Television and Radio Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ulanbek Satiev, announced that the "Sport" channel has received a direct license to broadcast the Olympic Games for the first time. Thus, viewers in Kyrgyzstan will be able to watch the competitions live through the channel, cable networks, and mobile applications.
He noted that this is a significant expansion of opportunities for Kyrgyz citizens, allowing them to follow the largest international sporting events.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be broadcast on the night of February 6 to 7 at 01:00 on "NTRK Sport".
The XXV Winter Olympic Games will take place from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Italy. The venues for the competitions will include Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and other cities in the northern part of the country. About 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries are expected to participate.
At the Winter Olympics in Italy, Kyrgyzstan will be represented by two athletes competing in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
