
The General Director of the National Television and Radio Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, Ulanbek Satiev, announced that the channel "Sport" has become the first to acquire the license for the direct broadcast of the Olympic Games. Now viewers in Kyrgyzstan will be able to watch the competitions both live and through cable networks and mobile applications.
According to Satiev, this event significantly expands opportunities for sports fans in the country, allowing them to follow major international sporting events.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be broadcast on the night of February 6 to 7 at 01:00 on the "NTRK Sport" channel.
The XXV Winter Olympic Games are scheduled to take place in Italy from February 6 to 22, 2026, and will be held in cities such as Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and other locations in the northern part of the country. Approximately 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries are expected to participate.
At the Winter Olympics, Kyrgyzstan will be represented by two athletes who will compete in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
