Kyrgyzstani Teenagers Became World Armwrestling Champions in Tashkent

Teenagers from Kyrgyzstan have won the title of world champions in arm wrestling in Tashkent. The head coach of the arm wrestling federation of the Issyk-Kul region, Ruslan Abdybek uulu, reported this to a Turmush correspondent.

“I have been training children in the Issyk-Kul region for several years now. In the Jeti-Oguz district, there are currently 30 teenagers training, and more than ten of them are part of the national team of Kyrgyzstan in arm wrestling,” he noted, adding that interest among the youth in this sport is growing.

From January 30 to February 7, arm wrestling competitions took place in Tashkent, where three athletes from the village of Kyzyl-Suu participated. In the "seniors" category, they showcased their skills and spirit on the international stage.

As a result of the competitions:

Zalkar Nurlanov took first place in the weight category up to 80 kg;

He also came first in the junior category, which confirms his skill and determination.

“Achieving gold in two categories is the result of hard work, discipline, and true sports character,” emphasized Ruslan Abdybek uulu.

Additionally:

Janybek Abdykadyrov took 2nd place in the DMCHA category;

Elmirek Mukambetov took 2nd place among juniors in the weight category of 60 kg.

“These matches were not just competitions, but a real fight for the honor of our homeland. However, there were financial difficulties when traveling abroad. Nevertheless, the guys show great effort by coming to training every day,” added the coach.
