Kyrgyzstan has submitted a bid to host the U-23 Asian Cup in 2028
The official bid to host the U-23 Asian Cup in 2028 has been submitted by the Kyrgyz Football Union to the Asian Football Confederation.

This tournament is one of the most significant events in Asian football, gathering the 16 best national teams from the continent. The football federation believes that hosting the competition in Kyrgyzstan will not only accelerate the modernization of football infrastructure but also enhance the country’s international image and attract youth to the sport.

As part of its bid, the KFU presented a detailed concept that includes stadiums meeting international standards, training bases, hotels, and transportation logistics. The prepared documentation fully complies with AFC requirements.

In addition to Kyrgyzstan, countries such as Jordan, Japan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan are also vying to host this tournament.

An inspection visit by AFC representatives to Kyrgyzstan is scheduled from March 2 to 6, during which the infrastructure and readiness of the country will be assessed. Based on the results of the inspection and analysis of the submitted materials, a final decision will be made on which country will host the tournament.

The Kyrgyz Football Union notes that the opportunity to host the U-23 Asian Cup is viewed as a strategically important step for the development of football in the country and the creation of modern conditions for training the younger generation of players.
