The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has decided that transgender athletes can no longer participate in women's competitions. This was reported on the Telegram channel "Context."

According to a statement from the IOC press service, the right to participate in the Olympic Games and other committee events, including both individual and team disciplines, is now reserved exclusively for biological women. This status will be determined based on the results of a test for the presence of the SRY gene.

This decision is aimed at protecting fairness, safety, and integrity in women's competitions and will take effect from the Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028. However, this new rule will not have retroactive effect and will not affect amateur and recreational sports programs.
