At the awards ceremony for the youth hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, announced plans to build a modern ice complex in Bishkek.
“On behalf of the Bishkek city administration, I want to announce that this year we will do everything possible to implement this important project. We will find a suitable plot of land and begin construction of a new ice arena that will meet all modern standards,” the mayor stated.
It is worth noting that the youth team of Kyrgyzstan achieved a historic milestone by winning gold medals at the World Championship in Group B of the third division.
