Milan, as one of the leading global fashion capitals, will undoubtedly highlight style at the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will take place in Milan and Cortina. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews earlier.

At the opening ceremony, especially during the Parade of Nations, athletes will showcase impressive uniforms that reflect the culture and traditions of the countries they represent.

Mongolia is already making an effort to impress early on.

The uniform presented by Goyol Cashmere from Ulaanbaatar includes a modern reinterpretation of traditional deel clothing — long dresses with belts characteristic of the nomadic Mongolian Empire of the 13th century.

At the 2026 Winter Olympics, Mongolia will be represented by three athletes: alpine skier Ariunbat Altanzul and speed skiers Achbadrah Batmunkh and Ariuntungalag Enkhbayar.

The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina will be the 16th for Mongolia, which continues to strive for its first Olympic medal.

Among the most memorable images of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris was the uniform of the Mongolian team, which featured particularly striking embroidered vests.

The broadcast of the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina will be carried by NBC, as well as online on the Peacock and NBC Olympics platforms on February 6, starting at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
