Fines for safety violations in the metro and trains have been introduced in Uzbekistan

As part of these changes, a fine of 10 BRV has been established for violations of safety rules during the movement and transportation of workers, which amounts to about 4.2 million sums. A similar penalty is imposed for deliberately concealing incidents or accidents on railway tracks and in the metro.

Additionally, the changes also affect the sphere of road transportation. A fine of 3 BRV (1.2 million sums) is also provided for non-compliance with approved schedules, changing routes without justification, or unjustified fare increases.

The aim of introducing these new regulations is to enhance the level of discipline in the transportation sector and strengthen control over the safety of passenger transport.
