A Huge Anomaly in the Shape of a "Smile" Detected on the Sun

An enormous anomaly resembling a 'smile' has been spotted on the Sun

According to information from RIA Novosti, citing the Telegram channel of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an anomaly resembling a smile has been observed on the surface of the Sun.

The publication notes that the "huge smiley" reaches a diameter of 1.5 million kilometers.

Researchers report that this unusual shape emerged due to two active regions that have grown to gigantic sizes, and a prominence played a key role in creating the "smile".

Astronomers also clarify that at the moment, the Sun is directed straight towards the Earth, while the nearest planets are on the side of the star hidden from us.
