The Russian language will retain its status in Kazakhstan, - Ambassador Borodavkin on the new Constitution

Borodavkin noted that the preservation of the Russian language in Kazakhstan is not only positive but may also lead to its strengthening both within the CIS and on the international stage. "This is a very positive signal," he said. The ambassador also reminded about the proposal of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to create an International Organization for the Russian Language. He added that events necessary to initiate its work are planned to take place in the coming months.
