Serdar Berdymukhamedov, the President of Turkmenistan, carried out the largest rotation in the power system, signing over 50 decrees related to resignations and new appointments within just two days. These changes affected the highest level of government administration, including key deputy prime ministers and leaders of security agencies.
New faces have joined the Cabinet of Ministers: three deputy heads of government were replaced. Mammetkhan Chakaev, Bayramgul Orazdurdiyeva, and Batyr Amanov gave up their positions to Batyr Annaev, Batyr Mammedov, and Guvanch Agajanov. Significant reshuffles also occurred in the ministries, where new ministers took over the departments of health, ecology, and food industry. Many former officials resigned due to retirement or job changes.
The most notable changes affected the security agencies and the infrastructure sector. Nazar Atagarayev, the Minister of National Security, was relieved of his duties, and his position was taken by Dovletgeldi Meredov. A new Ministry of Highways was also established in the republic, headed by Hangeldi Kerimov. Personnel changes also affected regional levels: mayors of the largest cities, such as Turkmenbashi, Turkmenabat, and Mary, were also replaced.
