“From the bottom of my heart, I want to congratulate you on the traditional Mongolian holiday of Tsagaan Sar, the Year of the Fire Horse, known as ‘Süree Daraqch’!” — reports MiddleAsianNews, citing the Japanese ambassador in Ulaanbaatar.
May this joyful holiday of Tsagaan Sar bring you happiness in these warm spring days, when peace and joy reign in the midst of large and friendly families.
Last year, when the Year of the Wooden Snake began, a state visit by His Majesty the Emperor and Empress of Japan took place in Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia, Khürelsükh Ukhna. The warm welcome extended by the Mongolian people during the eight-day visit will forever remain in our memory as a touching event. During the visit, the Emperors interacted with the people, especially children and youth, and their kind smiles reflected respect for Mongolia. I am confident that the regular coverage of these moments in the media of both countries has strengthened mutual understanding and brought our peoples closer together.
This visit, which left a mark in the history of bilateral relations, confirms the close cooperation built by generations of people from the past to the present, and I am sure that this will serve as a foundation for future relations that will develop under the guidance of a new generation.
This year of the Fire Horse, we intend to make even greater efforts to deepen and expand interaction between Japan and Mongolia in various fields. The year 2026 will be the Year of the Fire Horse. Mongolians have always revered horses, considering them loyal companions and symbols of strength, courage, freedom, and prosperity. In this Year of the Fire Horse, we send our best wishes to all Mongolians, hoping they will be as swift, energetic, healthy, and happy as a galloping horse racing across endless fields.
