In his post on the social network Truth Social, Trump stated: "We plan to send a large hospital ship to Greenland to help the many sick people there who are not receiving proper medical care. It is already on its way."

According to Reuters, this statement was made before a dinner with Republican governors at the White House, where Trump was accompanied by Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry. So far, neither the White House nor Landry's office has commented on the information about the "floating hospital."

Additionally, the agency notes that the U.S. Navy has two medical ships - Mercy and Comfort, but neither is stationed in Louisiana.

It is noteworthy that shortly before Trump's statement, the United Arctic Command of Denmark reported the need to evacuate a sailor from an American submarine off the coast of Greenland, but did not specify whether this is related to U.S. plans.

It should be reminded that Trump has previously expressed a desire to establish U.S. control over Greenland, emphasizing its strategic importance and the need to counter Russia and China in the Arctic. In January, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he stated that he hopes to resolve this issue through negotiations.
