According to Dmitry Peskov, Russia does not threaten anyone; however, if nuclear weapons aimed against it are deployed in Estonia, retaliatory measures cannot be ruled out. These comments were made in an interview reported by the publication "Meduza," citing the television channel "Russia."

He added that Russia will make decisions based on its security, including aspects of nuclear deterrence.

Earlier, Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna noted that the country is ready to host nuclear weapons from its NATO allies if such a decision is made by the alliance. Estonia's Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur also mentioned the possibility of deploying British fighter jets with nuclear warheads.

However, Estonia does not possess its own nuclear arsenals.

According to Bloomberg, discussions are underway in Europe regarding the creation of a nuclear deterrence system amid growing doubts about the reliability of the U.S. as a military partner. Currently, security on the continent is ensured through the American "nuclear umbrella," while the United Kingdom and France possess their own nuclear forces.
