Trump added that he has instructed the US International Development Finance Corporation to address issues related to political risk insurance and ensuring financial security for maritime transport operations in the Persian Gulf at "a very reasonable price."
He also noted that this service will be available to all shipping companies. "If the need arises, the US Navy will begin to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz," he emphasized.
