In his speech, Tokayev emphasized the importance of maslikhats in the context of implementing political and economic transformations. He noted that significant modernization of the state governance system is underway in the country, as well as in the areas of economy and social policy. In this regard, representative bodies of power remain in the spotlight as a key element of these changes. The President added that the implementation of the principle "Strong regions — strong country" has already contributed to strengthening the authority of maslikhats, but many tasks still need to be addressed to enhance their effectiveness.
At this forum, deputies of the Mazhilis, chairpersons of local and city maslikhats, as well as representatives of the business community also spoke.
