U.S. President Donald Trump noted that Washington has nearly achieved its goals in the Middle East and is considering the possibility of concluding military operations against Iran. He announced this on the social network Truth Social.

Trump emphasized that the U.S. aims for the complete destruction of Iran's missile capabilities, including launchers, as well as the dismantling of the country's defense industry and the elimination of Iran's air and naval forces, including air defense systems.

He also highlighted the importance of preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

“Our task is to never allow Iran to get close to nuclear weapons and to be ready to respond quickly and effectively if such a threat arises,” he wrote.

Additionally, Trump stated that the U.S. intends to continue protecting its allies in the region, among which he mentioned Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other countries.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, the president expressed the opinion that control and security of this strategic route should be carried out by other states that use it.

“If we receive a request for assistance, we will provide support to these countries in securing the Strait of Hormuz; however, after the threat from Iran is eliminated, this will become unnecessary,” Trump noted.
