
A meeting between the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un is taking place in Pyongyang, reports the BelTA agency.
The official meeting ceremony took place at Kim Il Sung Square and included the performance of the national anthems of both countries, cannon salutes, and the greeting of delegation members. The event featured a mounted escort and a ceremonial guard company.
Alexander Lukashenko arrived in North Korea on an official visit on March 25. Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that during the meeting, the parties plan to sign an agreement on friendship and cooperation. It is also expected that around ten various agreements will be concluded.
Earlier, in September 2025, Lukashenko and Kim Jong Un met at a parade in Beijing, where the North Korean leader invited the Belarusian president to visit North Korea at any time convenient for him.
