During these meetings, a dialogue took place with Abdelrahim Almaaya, the President of the International Congress of Parliamentarians and former Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Jordan.

Issues related to the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding, which was signed between TURKPA and the International Congress of Parliamentarians in 2023, were discussed. Meeting participants noted that further expansion of cooperation is possible through more active participation of parliamentarians from the member countries of TURKPA.

In this regard, Almaaya expressed interest in enhancing the level of cooperation, suggesting a more active involvement of deputies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey in the activities of the International Congress of Parliamentarians.

The parties discussed the proposed directions and agreed that the International Congress of Parliamentarians would soon send an official letter to the TURKPA secretariat with specific mechanisms for cooperation. In turn, the TURKPA secretariat plans to address the heads of parliaments of the member countries to coordinate areas of joint work in various fields.

The discussion also involved the Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA, Mukhammet Alper Hayali, and the head of the protocol service, Yadigar Mammadov.
