At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 5, deputy Venera Khamzaeva raised a serious social issue — the lack of hospital beds in Manas and the Suzak district.

She noted that the children's regional hospital, designed for 165 beds, currently accommodates about 250 young patients.

“Due to the shortage of beds, sanitary standards are being violated, and medical staff are under significant strain,” emphasized Khamzaeva.

As a solution to the problem, the deputy proposed opening a new children's hospital with a larger capacity.

Additionally, she pointed out the difficult situation in the Suzak hospital, where patients arriving via ambulance often find themselves without beds and are forced to stay in the corridors.

Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov confirmed that he is aware of this issue. He added that an inventory of medical facilities is being conducted in the country, a situation analysis will be carried out, and the question of building new institutions in areas where it is truly necessary will be initiated.
