According to information from the university, the patient's story began three years ago when a 40-year-old man found himself on dialysis. His 68-year-old father, Anarbek Usenov, readily offered to become a donor for his son.
The family searched for options to conduct the operation for a long time, considering foreign clinics, including those in Turkey, but the high prices for medical services abroad proved to be unaffordable. Upon learning about high-tech surgeries being performed in Osh, they decided to travel from Bishkek to the south of the country.
Anarbek Usenov shared that their trust in local doctors was justified: the preparation for the operation and the treatment process were conducted under strict supervision of specialists.
As noted by the medical institution, significant financial resources and the need to travel abroad were previously required to perform such operations.
Currently, both the donor and the recipient are under constant medical supervision, and their condition is assessed as stable.
