Doctors working within the framework of official medicine can recommend not only medications but also vitamins, as well as dietary supplements (DS). This became known from the speech of Aman Osmonov, head of the licensing department of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the program "Elden Sobol," broadcast by the "Kabar" agency.

“These supplements should only be considered as auxiliary means, and one should not expect them to treat diseases. For example, in the winter period, when there is a lack of vitamins, doctors may prescribe vitamin complexes or trace elements to support the immune system,” Osmonov explained.
Additionally, he emphasized that licenses for dietary supplements are not issued, as only medications are subject to licensing. Unfortunately, smuggled and counterfeit supplements continue to enter the country, and the Ministry of Health refers such cases to law enforcement agencies. “Unfortunately, this flow does not stop. You close one loophole, and another one appears,” he added.
