At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 21, Deputy Dastan Jumabekov raised the issue of the shortage of medical personnel in the Talas region.

According to his information, the population of the region is approximately 270,000 people, yet there are no neurosurgeons in local and central hospitals.

“Frequent injuries require quick responses, where every minute and hour play a critical role. Previously, we had to call for air ambulance from Bishkek to transport the injured or attract specialists from the capital, which takes precious time,” the deputy noted.

He appealed to the representative of the president and the Cabinet of Ministers to raise this issue for discussion with the Minister of Health and to ensure the dispatch of one or two neurosurgeons to the Talas region, as well as to create the necessary conditions for their work and assistance to local residents.
