The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported on a meeting that took place between the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing, B. Bekbolotov, and representatives of the international company Pronova.
During the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation in modern agricultural technologies were discussed, including hydroponic cultivation and the development of greenhouse farms, as well as the application of in vitro technology for obtaining quality planting material.
“Representatives of Pronova shared their experience in implementing projects in highly efficient crop production and expressed their desire to develop these areas in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, they plan to create a hydroponic cultivation system for agricultural crops using modern technologies,” the press release states.Bekbolotov noted that the introduction of innovative technologies in the agro-industrial sector is an important step towards enhancing food security, efficient use of water resources, and increasing agricultural production volumes.
At the concluding part of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further interaction, information exchange, and the development of possible forms of cooperation, including joint investment projects.
