Kyrgyzstan has reached a new historical record, with international reserves exceeding $10 billion. This statement was made by the Chairman of the National Bank, Melis Turgunbaev.

He emphasized that this achievement allows the country to reach the level of developed nations and join the "elite club" of countries with high reserves.

According to him, the volume of reserves is twice the external debt of Kyrgyzstan, which creates a reliable protection for the currency market against possible external economic shocks.
