At the initiative of Kyrgyzstan, new tariff benefits for certain types of beef will come into effect on December 31, 2026. This information was announced by Elimbek Kanibek uulu, head of the EAEU Coordination Department of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency.

He specified that the benefit applies to products classified under the following EAEU customs codes: 0202301004 (frozen hindquarters of cattle without bones), 0202305004 (frozen forequarters of cattle without bones), and 0202309004 (other frozen parts of cattle without bones). The import volume for these goods will be 5,000 tons, while the previously applicable import duty of 15% has been reduced to zero.

In addition, Kyrgyzstan has also been granted a three-year tariff exemption for goods under the position 3403 91 000 9 of the EAEU customs code, intended for processing fabrics, leather, fur, and other materials in the chemical industry.
Another important measure was the adoption of a similar exemption for cocoa butter, effective until December 31, 2028, allowing for the import of 300 tons annually under the EAEU customs code 1804 000 000.

A tariff exemption has also been established for the import of raw cane sugar, exempting from import duties for a volume of 20,000 tons until the end of 2026.

Elimbek Kanibek uulu added that the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the extension of tariff benefits for Kyrgyzstan on turboprop passenger aircraft until December 31, 2028. This concerns two units of aviation equipment, which should contribute to the renewal of the fleet and the expansion of the air transport network both within the country and between the EAEU member states.
